2022 Celebration

Our August 14, 2022 Community Reception and Book Signing was an excellent start to the new school year!  Students from across Arizona honored the service of their veterans, whose stories they captured in Since You Asked XVIII: A Salute to Cold War Veterans.

Musical Inspiration
The Musical Theatre of Anthem gave us goosebumps with beautiful acapella reditions of the National Anthem, US Military Service Songs, and Katy Perry's "Rise."

Gabi Brown and Kevin Storey, our teachers of the year, were recognized with the Barbara Hatch Founder's Awards for Program Excellence.

Congratulations to Jaclyn Russek (1st Place), Alyssa Wood (2nd Place), Hailey Bushey (3rd Place) and Caitlin Campos (Above and Beyond) for sharing how your veterans have impacted your lives. The T.W. Lewis Foundation generously funded this year’s scholarships. Foundation representative Michelle Arndt assisted in the presentation, gifting each recipient an autographed copy of the book "Solid Ground", written by Mr. Tom Lewis.

Campbell Scholar
Congratulations to Caitlin Schroeder for receiving the Jennifer Caitlin Campbell Memorial Travel Scholarship. Funded by her family, this scholarship honors Jennifer's contributions to VHP and her love for travel. Recipients document their travel and share their experience with the family upon completion of their journey. Past recipients have traveled to Cambodia, Korea, Italy, Germany, France, Vietnam, and the Czech Republic.

Lambert Scholars
Lambert Scholars
Congratulations to Kayleigh Rice and Lauren Anderson, the first Lambert Scholars. The Lambert Family Scholarship Fund assists VHP students with trade school, community college, or up to four years of university in pursuit of a Business related or STEM degree. Lambert Scholars demonstrate a passion for learning, hard work, and giving back to the community, but who may also need financial assistance to bring their dreams to fruition.
